To celebrate the 4th of July 2018, The River Pierce Foundation commissioned artist Gilbert Rocha of Laredo, Texas to create an outdoor sculpture made with 100% recycled materials. Mr. Rocha was asked to make the sculpture move with the breeze and to include elements of water and light. The sculpture was designed to enhance the beautification of the historic plaza in San Ygnacio. Inauguration of the sculpture took place on the evening of July 4, 2018 in celebration of the happy atmosphere often found in sleepy San Ygnacio, Texas.
